Lava Hot Springs

Well I finished finals! It was an incredible feeling to finish my first official semester of graduate school. Taylor found out that it was customer appriciation day in Idaho and the Lava Hot Springs was free. So a few of us drove up and went. It was a blast and a great way to finish the semester. 

Friends and Family Thanksgiving

Before everyone left for the break, my roommates and I decided to have a "friendsgiving." Not everyone could make it but it was fun to all sit around the table and talk about what we're grateful for. 

This year Mom and Dad came up to Utah for Thanksgiving and the Godfrey's were kind enough to let us join them. Taylor was able to join us for the festivities, including a healthy game of ping pong. 

The girls were able to tie a baby blanket for Megan's baby. It was fun to see everyone together and spend the holiday together. 

Surprise Vegas Trip

 It was a Friday afternoon and I had just finished with my client. I wasn't too excited about going to the library and working on homework all weekend. To procrastinate, I called Corie and during our chat she invited us down. I texted Taylor and within one hour, we were going to Vegas! 

While there, Corie taught me how to cut hair. Let's just say that Taylor was a good sport and too kind to say anything about how he didn't like it. 

Taylor won the hearts of Carolyn and Claire. They gave him a "double kiss." 

Scavenger Hunt Date

On a Friday afternoon I was sitting on my bed when Taylor texted me and asked if I would check if my car fro his wallet. I went outside only to find my car full of balloons. Each balloon had a puzzle piece inside. When placed together, there were clues leading to the library and a specific book. 

Taylor hung around the library to sneak pictures of me while getting around the library. 

Each book led to another book which led to another clue and another puzzle piece. 

This was the last step. It was a huge encyclopedia in a room with a code (Page 248, Paragraph 2, Word 10, Letter 3). The code spelled out "Basketball Game Tonight?" As soon as I finished, Taylor came in looking for an answer. The scavenger hunt and the basketball was a blast. 

Friends + Weekend = Happiness

One of these weekends we went down to Provo and it was long overdue. I loved every second of it. And I am proud to say that I was Keri and McKay's first house guest. They were incredible hosts and I felt right at home. 

A weekend full of studying, laughter, milkshakes, Nicklecade games, and best friends. 

These girls are amazing! 

Halloween 2013

I decided that I must either really like Taylor or completely trust him because he convinced me to go to a haunted house. I haven't been since my youth group went sophomore year of high school. We went with his friends and I actually enjoyed myself. 

Halloween night we got a coupon from our institute teacher to eat at Gaucho Grill, a Brazilian restaurant here in Logan. We ate SO much food and I probably ate just as much if not more than Taylor. I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed. 

Good Ole Subi

When I was back in Vegas Corie borrowed my car to attend an event. The valet parked my car in a precarious spot and an RV came by and swiped the front bumper. It was probably one of the saddest moments of my life. BUT... 

 There's always a silver lining. 

I needed a new headlight and it paid for it! It looks better than ever. 

DC in Logan

Catherine and Amy, great friends from DC, came up one weekend. We had a blast! 

We took a long drive up the canyon and saw some amazing fall colors. 

Dinner at the Olive Garden with some funny waiters...

Followed up by some pumpkin carving. 

Conference Weekend

I would have to say that General Conference Weekends are two of the best weekends out of the whole year. I don't know if it's the chance we have to hear from our church leaders, the large amounts of food that we get to eat, the excuse to stay in your pajamas all day, or the time with family; but it is amazing. This October Conference was especially special because Corie came up and I was able to spend time with her and Abby. 

Corie brought up her young women and took them to This Is The Place Heritage Park. We met up with Grandpa and got to take the train around the park. 

Taylor was luck enough to join in on the fun! It was a beautiful day! 

You know you're at Utah State when...

They have agriculture week and they do sheep herding demonstrations in the the middle of campus. It's been really fun to get a different culture and have a different college experience. 

Seasons Change

I have to admit that Logan has been extraordinary all summer and it has only gotten better in the fall. We went up Logan canyon on a hike and it was absolutely gorgeous. All the leaves are changing and it was perfect weather.

It was also a much needed break from studying and school! 

Becoming an Aggie...

I figured that if I'm going to go to Utah State I needed to become an Aggie. So I did everything that I could think of that would give me Aggie status...

There's a local restaurant here and they have miniature sinks that they fill with ice cream. If you eat the whole thing then you get a sticker. Abby came up to help! There were four of us eating and it was still difficult but we did it! 

 

To finish off the weekend we all went to the football game! 

I would consider myself an Aggie!

Nieces - Just can't get enough of them

Before school started again I was able to hangout with Corie and the girls again. It's been so fun to be able to see them grow and become individuals. They're such a blast!

Emily's aunt was an incredible hostess and made up homemade oatmeal with brown sugar and blueberries. It was fabulous!

Both Ashley's weren't able to make it to the sealing but we missed them! 

What a gorgeous bride and beautiful friends! 

I have never been so happy for anyone. She was stunning! 

Rachel Willardson took us around town and was an amazing tour guide. We also got to meet up with Devynne which was the last time I got to see her before she leaves on her mission! 

Ghirardelli was a must see. 

Apparently I'm a passionate kisser! 

Ashley and I drove up to Lakeport for the second reception which was gorgeous. I was the only single young woman there so I caught the bouquet!
