A Vegas Valentine's

Taylor and I had come up with an awesome plan... Brittany and her family were going to drive over to Vegas to visit Corie over Valentine's weekend. Then Taylor and I were going to surprise her by coming down at the same time. I'm not very good at lying so it didn't take long to get the secret out but it turned out to be an awesome weekend. 

Valentine's morning I woke up to homemade blueberry pancakes with strawberries. They were fabulous! 

Right after Taylor got out of work, we hit the rode. This shot was for Hannah - we were so excited. 

We had an absolute blast! It was so wonderful to see the Erickson's and hangout with the boys. They are growing so fast! It's fun to see how they are so different and have different interests and wants. I guess it's just proof that we are truly individual children of God. 

It was also great to see the girls play together. Summer LOVES her cousins and will do anything they ask. They also love reading so we had a blast reading a ton of books. 

Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

The Olympics have always been a little magical for me. The idea of having people from across the globe gather together without disagreement or qualms in order to not only complete but develop relationships is amazing to me. For me it stands as a symbol of hope for humanity and the world. It is possible for everyone to come together without debate. Plus you get to watch people do really cool tricks! Because of this love with the Olympics, I have always wanted to throw an opening ceremony party. This was the year...

Of course we had to have a photo booth! 

We projected the events on one of our walls and had a ton of friends. It was a blast! 

I could not have asked for better roommates. For coming up to Logan, not knowing a soul, Heavenly Father was looking out for me. He allowed me to meet amazing girls that have been my source of light and joy these past few months. I have to admit that I was nervous about living with 8 girls in one house. Never have we had a disagreement or unhappy situation. They are so kind and such great examples to me in every way. Love them!
