The Magic of Ordinary Days

This last weekend was wonderful. It wasn't that I did anything big or that I had a lot of things going on - it was actually the opposite. I didn't really have any plans and nothing really big happened but that is what made it so great.

Friday Keri and I got to babysit my cousins kids. I forgot how much I love kids and how much I enjoy babysitting. They were really smart kids as well. It made me excited to one day in the future have a family of my own and spend more time with my own kids. Then we went to Anne's house and watched a movie with her. It was so great!

Saturday I was able to work a lot on school and then work. It's interesting because I don't really look forward to work but as soon as I get there I love it and I don't want to leave. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to teach at the MTC. It's incredible.

Sunday we decided to get up early and drive to Salt Lake for the Music and the Spoken Word. It was my first time. I loved it! We parked just a few blocks away and then right when we walked onto Temple Square there was Alex Boye. He was just 10 feet away - so cool. Then we got to go to stake conference which was wonderful.

Because of this weekend, I believe that there is magic in the ordinary days - we just have to find it.
