September

September was a great month for the Lind household. It was pretty quiet but we found some find times and got to see a lot of good friends.

Chris and Anne invited us to go to the Ogden Temple open house. What an incredible experience! Learning about the whole process and all the detail involved was a testimony builder to me that it truly is the house of the Lord. It has to be perfect in order for him to reside there. It's true that I love to see the temple.

This month I was able to get together with the ladies from the Nottingham House. They are absolutely fabulous and I was reminded of how blessed I was to be able to live with them. I remember being so anxious about moving into a house with 8 girls and only two bathrooms. But they were incredible and such great examples to me of kindness, patience, and service.

We missed Sarah (who is at PA school in Arizona) and Sam!

September was filled with a lot of school. I had multiple Saturday classes and Taylor studied so hard. Sometimes too hard...

College wouldn't be complete without one or two football games. We had absolutely beautiful weather all month so even though I'm not the biggest fan of football it was nice to be outside and enjoy the atmosphere.

Our favorite thing this month was the Cache Valley Parade of Homes. It was a little different for me because we had to drive around the valley and find the homes. What I really liked is that a lot of the homes were more typical or average, instead of these huge mansions that no one could ever really afford. But it wouldn't be the Parade of Homes without a few super huge and cool homes. Taylor really liked this one. It had an awesome garage and tool shed, along with a huge projector that you could watch from the pool and hot tub.

Anther fun adventure this month was volunteering for the Top of Utah Marathon. We were in charge of the first relay exchange station about 6 or 7 miles into the race. we had to leave the house at about 4:30 in the morning so that we could make it up the canyon before the runners started. There was a lot of waiting around and Taylor again was "studying" hard.

One of our favorite things to do is to pack a picnic and just eat dinner somewhere around Logan. This was on a Sunday afternoon when we wanted to enjoy the warm weather. Marriage had been a blast and it's so great always having someone to go on a spontaneous adventure for you.
